Job Scope

  • NAMS is Nomura Group’s strategic hub for Pacific Basin ex Japan investment management.  The incumbent is the client service contact and liaison with overseas offices on Asia equity and fixed income products and strategies.
  • Product management of Asia equity and fixed income with investment teams – Liaison between marketing/sales/business development/client service colleagues of affiliated overseas offices and Asia investment teams.
  • Provide support to Consultant Relations Teams on Asia investment strategies.
  • Manage and support initiatives, projects and requests that support of the department is required.

 

Responsibilities

Scope of duties, not limited to the following, will be expanded over time when deemed necessary on situational demands and/or for staff development.

  1. Product Management
  • Work with marketing development/client service colleagues on activities of NAMS and of affiliated overseas offices to gather tractions and assets for Asia investment products and strategies.
  • Work with NAM Overseas Business Unit to handle Asia portion of Pacific Basin including Japan strategies.
  • Collate responses to RFI, RFP, due diligence questionnaire, survey and ad-hoc enquires relating to Asia equity and fixed income strategies.
  • Prepare regular updates of materials/literature including customized presentation materials for marketing pitch, meeting and business trip.
  • Collate monthly PBIM market outlook/review and generate ad-hoc thematic outlook/update materials. 
  1. Investment Consultants
  • Manage consultant database and related information and updates, relevant to equity and fixed income investment strategies managed by the Asia investment team.
  • Liaise with Global Head of Consultant Relations for reviews of Asia strategies with researchers and information sharing on Asia strategies for NAM’s global consultant database.
  1. Others
  • Liaise with overseas offices on operational due diligence and RFP/RFI requiring data inputs.
  • Understand and manage risks inherent in the department’s operation and implement reasonable mitigation and control measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in product management within asset management industry, with strong knowledge of Asia equity and fixed income investment products
  • Demonstrated experience managing RFPs/RFIs, due diligence questionnaires, consultant databases and producing high-quality client and marketing materials for institutional investors
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across investment teams, sales, marketing, consultant relations and overseas offices in a regional/global environment
