Nomura Bank is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Investment Banking Division as a Temp Analyst. As part of the project team, you will provide crucial support to our bankers on financing and advisory projects. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of investment banking and contribute to the success of our team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist bankers in executing financing and advisory projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on market trends, industry sectors, and potential clients to support deal origination and execution
  • Prepare financial models, pitch books, and other relevant materials for client presentations
  • Collaborate with team members to perform due diligence and support deal structuring and negotiation processes
  • Assist in the coordination of meetings and conference calls, and compile meeting minutes and action items
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, market conditions, and emerging trends that may impact ongoing projects
  • Support the team in managing client relationships and participate in client meetings as required
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and strategies to meet client needs and enhance business opportunities
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by senior team members

 

Requirements:

  • Candidates should be fluent in both English and Mandarin.
  • While no specific degree/major of study is required, strong quantitative skills and an interest in business and finance are expected.
  • Strong interest in investment banking and a desire to learn and grow within the industry
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of investment banking products, services, and industry practices is a plus
