Nomura's Investment Banking department is a leading global player offering a comprehensive range of advisory and capital-raising services to clients. Nomura’s Australian Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is looking to add a Senior Associate / Junior Vice President to the team to assist with domestic and cross-border M&A transactions. Prior FIG sector experience is not essential, the ideal candidate will have 4-7 years M&A experience, be naturally curious, looking to take the next step in their career, and able to leverage a positive, self-driven attitude to execute transactions and support marketing activities. Exposure to other products, including balance sheet lending, will be highly regarded.
Job Responsibilities
- Able to lead or is beginning to gain exposure to leading M&A execution and management of workstreams.
- Develop and review valuation models, pro-forma financial statements, and comparable company analysis.
- Manage due diligence and transaction processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and own marketing materials and client presentations, and support client relationship management.
- Conduct market and industry research.
- Manage, mentor, and train junior members of the team.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 4-7 years of Investment Banking or other boutique advisory experience, with a focus on M&A advisory.
- Advanced financial modelling and financial analytical skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- The ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines.
- A strong sense of personal integrity and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts.
