Role description
Nomura seeks to recruit an VP level professional to work in the firm’s eFX Electronic Trading team. The role’s responsibilities include:
- Electronic Market Maker for Spot FX, NDF, Forwards and Swaps to the Nomura global client base and all internal Nomura departments.
- Quantitative analytics and development of all aspects of FX market making and FX algorithmic trading
- Work with the eSales team to help service their clients’ needs whilst building lasting relationships and franchise
- Produce steady revenue stream from market knowledge and responsible idea-driven calibration of pricing and hedging models
- Leverage client flow and market events for the benefit of the client base and Nomura.
- Work to the highest moral code and advancing Nomura’s ethics in all areas.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
- Bachelors’ Degree in a quantitative or engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic trading in FX Products.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in coding in Python, or Java or KDB
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey the ideas behind complex research in a clear and precise manner.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze complex, large scale, high-dimensionality data from multiple sources.
- Working experience with high-frequency financial time series is preferred.
