Role Description

 

The Investment Advisor will work within IPAS (Investment Product, Advisory and Solution) and work closely with RMs to provide advisory service with multi-asset class investment solutions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work within IPAS and RMs to provide advisory service with multi-asset class investment solutions
  • Advice on portfolio construction including overall asset allocation, tactical shifts and security selections
  • Market and implement investment solutions in accordance with clients’ asset allocation. Such solutions will be delivered either on a discretionary or advisory basis and will include mutual funds, structured products, hedge funds, private equity, as well as execution of more traditional brokerage transactions such as equities, bonds, foreign exchange, etc.
  • Drive the implementation of new cross asset products from conception to launch by collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with regional coverage and product heads to enhance the overall product and platform capabilities for coverage team and clients
  • Deliver performance reviews to clients across traditional and non-traditional assets
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in investment advisory within private banks
  • Experience in handling investment products with the ability to extend beyond a single product to a multi-product focus
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is required as the role involves providing investment advisory services to clients who are primarily Mandarin-speaking, ensuring effective communication and accurate advisory services
  • Ability to thrive in an internal culture that contributes to innovation, customer service, internal partnership and entrepreneurship
  • Team player capable of working effectively with various business partners
  • Appropriate local regulatory qualifications and licenses
  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines
  • Good interpersonal, communication and client interfacing skills. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diversified client base.
