Role description:
As a senior network engineer, the candidate will be responsible for design, implementation and supporting Network infrastructure. He/she needs to manage and deliver Network projects in Asia within proposed budget and timelines.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement and support network infrastructure in Asia Pacific
• Ensure and enhance Asia Pacific Network services are in line with business requirement in terms of stability, resilience and performance
• Ensure global standard and best practices are implemented in all network infrastructure
• Ensure technical documentation are properly maintained.
• Develop and enforce network policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor and audit network activities to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Support and administrate firewall environment in line with IT security policy
• Manage global / regional / local network project implementation
• Provide 2nd/3rd level Network operational support and implementation
• Automate and streamline operation workflow processes
• Provide consultations and operational support to business and IT units
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in a Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of technical and network operation experience in investment banking, financial institution or large enterprise environment
• In-depth knowledge on network technology (TCP/IP, WAN/MAN/LAN technologies, routing protocols, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, QoS, multicast), including troubleshooting of latency and availability issues in a global WAN environment
• Experience in Cisco (CCNP, CCIE preferred), Fortinet firewalls, F5 load balancers, Bluecoat Proxy Servers, wireless network technology, network management tools (HPNA, Sevone, SMARTS, Wireshark, etc)
• Knowledge in latency monitoring concepts and relevant industry solutions (Corvil, Nexus Data Broker, etc.)
• Global / regional project implementation experience
• Familiarity with incident management tools and processes, such as ITIL framework, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Ability to lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including communication with stakeholders and documentation of incident reports.
• Proven experience in network governance and control processes, including the ability to develop and enforce network policies and procedures.
• Experience in implementing and managing network access controls, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
• Work independently in a highly dynamic environment, both individually and as a team
