Job Title: Associate, Shared Services Oversight

Department Overview

You will be working within the AEJ Shared Services team to provide oversight and governance to the Shared Service functions supporting AEJ Businesses and Entities. Shared Services functions covered by the Oversight team include settlements, confirmations and network management.

 

Role Overview

  • You would work closely with the business and senior managers to help drive new initiatives/ projects, utilizing data to optimize processes and facilitate decision making.
  • You will be tasked with learning the business and processes, to identify and implement solutions to enable business initiatives. You will work with the Shared teams and collaborate with other teams within Operations and other corporate divisions.
  • The right candidate should have the interest to expand and develop their business knowledge across multiple domains, be adaptable in managing change and work closely with stakeholders in different locations.
  • Review and manage risks across multiple Shared functions
  • Effectively work with teams to map business processes
  • Gather and communicate requirements/information from stakeholders
  • Engage with and presenting to management and wider teams.
  • Identify areas of inefficiency, reoccurring issues, quality improvement and remediation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate manual processes, and drive change where required.
  • Manage a broad spectrum of stakeholders.

 

Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required:

  • Degree with minimum 5 years of working experience in a financial institution. Experience in a Global Markets/Investment Banking environment preferred.
  • The preferred candidate would have demonstrated their adaptability by working in different teams/departments across Middle and Back Office.
  • Knowledge in settlements for Asian markets will be an advantage
  • Experience in managing offshore teams and external vendors will be an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, track and meet deliverables before agreed deadline.
  • Attention to detail with strong logical thinking and analytical skills. Able to produce and articulate solutions to stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in technical skills such as AI, VBA, Python and data analysis skillsets will be an advantage.
