Role description:
- Develop and lead Global Markets junior talent strategy from end-to end for Global Markets Graduates, Analysts and Associates across the Americas, Europe and Asia ex-Japan regions. This includes:
- Attraction: Build a distinctive employer brand that positions Nomura as the top choice for talent
- Hiring: Deploy rigorous selection processes to identify and secure high-potential candidates
- Development: Partner with Learning Experience team to deliver targeted, skills-based training that prepares talent for current and future demands
- Retention: Sustain year-over-year retention of top performers through strategic engagement
- Manage the local Early Careers recruitment team across the Asia ex Japan region (Team of 3 recruiters covering Investment Banking, Global Markets, Corporate Functions, and Information Technology)
- Coordinate all Global Markets recruiters (lateral +graduate recruiters) and Talent Management partners across the International Regions in one aligned and successful Junior Talent strategy.
- Graduate Recruiters for Global Markets have dotted reporting line into this role
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and HR partners to forecast hiring demand and design scalable talent pipelines that align with business objectives and growth
- Develop KPIs and ROI metrics to set measure impact of initiatives
- Act as Junior Talent subject-matter expert, providing strategic guidance and market insights on end-to-end junior talent solutions to business stakeholders
- Drive innovation in attraction, assessment, selection, development and retention to meet evolving business and talent needs
- Use data and market intelligence to assess Junior Talent desk readiness and quick value add to the desk.
- Compile and analyze recruitment and retention metrics, track offer-to-acceptance ratios, and provide regular reporting on hiring volumes, conversion rates, and program performance to business and HR leadership
- Ensure all activities related to hiring and development adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and local employment legislation
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- University graduate
- Global Early Careers & or lateral recruitment experience, including supporting global markets divisions across geographical locations
- Experience managing and developing others
- Strong consultative and relationship management skills; client-facing and credible with ability to develop internal and external relationships
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders and build networks quickly
- Results-orientated: ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered to clients
- Proven Project Management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and project plan on an annual basis
- Forward thinking; ability to foresee the impact of emerging trends/patterns
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Positive attitude, flexible mindset, and a strong team player, who is willing to roll up their sleeves
- Able to thrive in a deadline-driven and fast paced environment
- Ability to travel as required
