Job Title: Head of IWM Operations Shared Services Business Management

Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Management & Governance:

  • Lead strategic oversight and governance of shared services operations supporting multiple business units including Trading and Wealth Management divisions
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive governance frameworks for all shared services functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Drive enterprise-wide change management initiatives, process optimization, and transformation projects across business lines

Stakeholder Management & Interface:

  • Serve as primary interface between onshore stakeholders (traders, bankers, senior management) and operational delivery teams
  • Manage complex escalations from multiple business units, providing executive-level resolution and strategic guidance
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key internal stakeholders, ensuring service excellence and business alignment

Offshore Operations Governance:

  • Provide comprehensive governance and oversight of services received from India operations and other offshore centers
  • Establish performance standards, SLAs, and quality metrics for offshore delivery teams
  • Manage offshore vendor relationships and ensure seamless integration with onshore business requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the offshore operating model

Operational Excellence & Control:

  • Oversee middle office functions supporting trading operations, including trade processing, settlement, and risk management
  • Manage asset transfer and sales support operations serving private banking and wealth management clients
  • Implement robust control frameworks and risk management processes across all shared services functions
  • Monitor operational metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and drive performance optimization

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple operational functions and geographic locations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and client service excellence
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to senior managers and operational staff

 

Role Requirements

  • Extensive experience in financial services operations with deep expertise in both trading operations and wealth management support functions with experience including but not limited to the following product lines:
    • Cash securities (eg Equities, Bonds, Mutual Funds),
    • OTC Products (eg ELN, OTC derivatives (such as accumulators, decumulators, Options) and
    • Funds (Mutual Funds, Hedge funds etc)
  • Able to manage the initiatives and projects relating to system change or workflow within Operations with Business.
  • Proven track record in managing shared services organizations, including offshore operations governance and vendor management
  • Have a good understanding on control awareness and
  • Ability to manage remote teams and manage large scale process migration projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Strong background in change management, process transformation, and operational risk management
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing and managing governance frameworks, SLAs, and performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, analysis and coordination skills with 8 to 15 years of relevant managerial experiences.
