Role Overview:
This position sits within the Global Middle Office (GMO) team, supporting FX&EM trading across the Asia Ex-Japan region. The desk's product coverage includes FX vanilla & structured OTC derivatives, Note issuances, listed FX derivatives, and precious metals.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate trade capture and deal maintenance for Asia-originated Derivative trades for FX products including Flow & Structured trades, Note issuances, Listed Derivatives
- Execute daily middle office control framework including trade validation, trade life-cycle management, position/risk reconciliations, post- trade exception monitoring and T+0 P&L flash
- Coordinate with Operations and other support functions to ensure proper settlement processing and timely resolution of trade breaks and discrepancies
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with the Front Office and other key stakeholders
- Partner with Business Managers and corporate functions to support and enable new product launches and business initiatives
- Maintain and update Middle Office procedures, ensuring comprehensive documentation and cross-training with offshore teams
- Collaborate with IT on Middle Office initiatives, global platform roll-outs and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system upgrades
- Proactively identify and implement process optimization opportunities to drive efficiency gains and strengthen operational controls
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6+ years of middle office experience in FX derivatives
- Demonstrated experience with structured products and complex derivative instruments
- Self-motivated with robust product knowledge and strong attention to detail & controls
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced trading environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative team-oriented approach
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with focus on process improvement and operational excellence
- Strong adaptability to continuously evolving systems, workflows, and business requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Excel required; Python and Alteryx preferred.
