Role Description

Reporting to the Head of Trust and Wealth Planning, the Executive Director, Wealth Planner is responsible to lead and drive new business acquisition and promote Nomura’s Wealth Planning Solutions (WPS) offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in wealth management, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance our market presence in Singapore.

 

Responsibilities

  • Participate in strategic development of WPS platform from marketing and compliance perspectives
  • Drive the acquisition of new clients by identifying and pursuing business opportunities within the high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth segments.
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to promote Nomura’s WPS offerings, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create tailored wealth planning solutions that meet clients' unique financial needs.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business performance, market insights, and client feedback to senior management.
  • Ensure all wealth planning activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with client relationships and wealth planning strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and support throughout the wealth planning process.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios and wealth planning strategies to ensure they continue to meet evolving client needs

 

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree in law, accounting, tax, business or finance from an accredited University
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a related field, with a proven track record of business development and client relationship management.
  • Experience in wealth planning strategies, trust, fiduciary, insurance, investment products, and regulatory requirements in Singapore.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders, with experience in delivering client-focused advisory solutions.
  • Experience with trust and insurance referral concepts and able to provide financial planning and structuring ideas.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work in an environment of diverse client base
