Function Overview

The Senior Relationship Management Team is a part of the Global Client Account Management Function within Nomura’s Wholesale Division. The role is that of an Executive Director within the Senior Relationship Management function to manage a set of institutional clients.

Responsibilities

Client Coverage

•           Manage an agreed portfolio of Clients that is aligned with Global and regional sales and product objectives.

•           Focus on asset managers, insurance companies, banks and hedge funds across Asia ex Japan in the Senior Relationship Management team and coordinate efforts across GM and IBD on growing our wallet share.

•           Serve as a key point of senior and C-Suite connectivity, partnership and engagement with the above clients, irrespective of product or geography

•           Maintain strong relationships with the key decision makers in Nomura

•           Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to clients

•           Actively take the lead in engaging clients, driving new business and deals, sharing best practice and thought leadership

•           Work with other client facing operations to help with client connectivity and problem solving

•           Connect Nomura’s senior management with these clients

•           Establish, monitor and review client performance against expected outcomes

•           Selectively add clients that are aligned with the business objectives

 

Client Governance

•           Monitor resource allocation and ensure that the resource allocation returns are in line with expectations and budget

•           Work closely with clients across the entire client lifecycle and ensure that the Corporate Functions are fully aligned and understand the businesses expectations with regards to these clients

•           Work in partnership with the Corporate functions to maximize and deliver a consistently positive client experience from pre to post trade

•           Ensure that client communications and plans are captured within the Client Relationship Management tool

•           Ensure that Nomura possesses an in-depth understanding of the clients’ business financial and non-financial situation

 

Key Stakeholders Engagement

•           Regional Heads of Senior Relationship Management

•           Regional GM Heads, GM Sales heads and Global Product Heads

•           Regional and Global Product Sales

•           Regional Client Account Management

•           GM Strategy

•           The Client Services Group and other client facing utilities

 

Requirements

•           Minimum of 10 years of experience in Global Market Sales or as a Relationship Manager in Financial Services

•           Minimum of 5 years of experience covering asset managers, hedge funds, or insurance companies across Asia ex-Japan

•           Bachelor’s degree as a minimum

•           Experience and ability to collaborate with different departments to enhance the firm’s offerings

•           A strong working knowledge of financial and non- financial risks that need to be managed and monitored by the Bank
