Department Overview
Nomura's Global Markets department offers clients worldwide liquidity, market insights, and execution services across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and commodities. The team's emphasis on innovation and technology ensures access to advanced trading platforms and tailored solutions. Specializing in market-making, risk management, and electronic trading, Nomura's Global Markets team has a strong global presence and is renowned for exceptional client service. Responsibilities
• Senior AEJ Strategist in AEJ focusing on successfully building and maintaining Nomura’s thematic and fundamental equity research coverage across Asia Pacific collaborating with Japan equity strategy team.
• Responsible for research reports, coordinating all Nomura research across APAC region and formulating our view on the Asia equity markets.
• Responsible for aligning and coordinating Nomura's APAC country research and aligning strategy, sector research and views with overall Asia ex-Japan regional equity markets.
• Partner effectively with equity colleagues in Sales and Sales Trading on Nomura’s product offerings to clients.
Requirements
• Extensive and successful research background in the Asia region including proven Institutional Investor and other investor poll recognition.
• 10+ years of experience in successful equity strategist or research roles with a highly in-depth knowledge of the equity market with equity research expertise.
• Strong leadership, management skills, and sound commercial business acumen
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven experience in communicating with team, broader research, sales, trading, and clients.
• Highly energetic with superior understanding of the firm’s clients’ needs
• Excellent spoken and written English
