Department overview
A member of the Production Service team to support systems used by International Wealth Management Division (IWM). Engage in incident, problem and change management for IWM systems and ensure requests from front-to-back users supporting IWM business are dealt with effectively and efficiently. Identify cause of system issues and provide remedy/workaround for affected users, as well as to escalate the problem to vendor/ development team.
Role description
Responsibilities:
• Provide daily application support and system support to IWM business on staggered hours, and manning the IWM IT Helpdesk
• Maintain high performance and availability of production environment
• Monitor critical components of the system and troubleshoot problem areas
• Liaise with users to ensure production incidents are resolved on a timely basis and that remedial actions are taken
• Coordinate with infrastructure team, development team and vendors on system upgrade, release management and change implementation
• Manage and keep track of production issues, follow up incident post mortem to mitigate root cause
• Work closely with development team members to provide UAT support and handle production rollout for both BAU changes and projects
• Work closely with regional IT teams (cross IT BUs) to maintain effective up-stream & down-stream processing
• Participate in business continuity planning and exercises
• Participate/support in regional and/or global projects
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
• University graduate with minimum 5 years of application support experience in application support role in banking environment/ financial institution
• Good experience in supporting Wealth Management system/ Order Management system/ Execution Management System
• Hands on experience in either Avaloq or MarginMan.
• Good experience in Oracle 19c, MSSQL, UNIX and Windows operating environments
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Willing to learn and able to adapt to different technologies
• Self-motivated, responsible and reliable team player
• Strong experience of working with Unix based applications - ability to write scripts and work on automation
• Experience with job scheduling systems (ideally Autosys)
• Excellent communication skills at all levels with the ability to present information in a professional and mature manner
Preferred:
• Completed Avaloq Certification training
• ITIL v3 or similar qualifications
• Knowledge of market data and financial models will be advantage
• Practical understanding of FIX protocol
• Understanding on cloud operations, microservices, python/perl and excel skill
• Communicates well & across all levels
• Demonstrate basic financial understanding in FX/MM/Equity/Derivatives and associated front to back operational workflow
