Job Overview

Nomura is seeking an experienced HR professional who will report to Korea HR Lead. The HR Associate will be in charge of various HR processes including payroll, data integrity, benefits, and HR reporting. The role will partner with regional HR teams in executing HR initiatives and will provide HR advisory support to the clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage HR operations including payroll (local & expatriates) processing, employee data management and benefits administration.
  • Keep abreast of Korean employment laws, regulations and HR practices to ensure compliance and efficient HR operational processes and mitigate any potential risks.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory and internal HR reporting within required deadlines, ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency with source data.
  • Work in conjunction with the recruitment team to ensure resourcing requirements are proactively understood and fulfilled.
  • Support end-to-end HR operations across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding and all changes in between.
  • Partner with regional HR teams to execute various HR initiatives.
  • Act as HR Business Partner by providing HR advisory and support across a broad range of people matters.
  • Participate in HR projects which involve change of existing HR policies and procedures.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of human resources experience
  • Strong technical human resources expertise in payroll, compensation, data management and HR operations.
  • Experience in client coverage including consulting client groups in a fast-paced, demanding and rapidly changing environment.
  • Organized, attentive to details, a team player with interpersonal skills and professional ethics.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and relationships.
  • Effective in accomplishing objectives through positive influence and persuasion to the clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Korean as well.
