Role Description:
Join us at Nomura Asset Management International as an Equity Analyst covering Small Cap stocks with a primary focus on Health Care, but with an opportunity to cover other sectors as well. You will work collaboratively with Portfolio Managers on a dedicated Small Cap team based in Philadelphia.
We utilize a defined investment process focused on fundamental research, with quantitative screening on the front-end and risk management on the back end. Our investment process is geared toward generating long-term investments for inclusion in well-diversified portfolios with an emphasis on cash flow.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Conducting fundamental analysis of equities, including researching industries and interviewing company management teams.
- Tracking overall economic and corporate trends.
- Building financial models to analyze company revenue, cash flow and earnings.
- Creating valuation comparisons and price targets and making buy/sell investment recommendations to portfolio managers.
- Effectively communicating investment thesis and risks.
- Collaborating on the presentation of investment recommendations to the team and supporting client service efforts.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- CFA designation or CFA Level III preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant equity research – buy or sell-side.
- Expertise in analyzing companies within the Health Care Sector.
- Passion for markets and investing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- High personal and professional integrity and ethics.
