Role Description:

The Nomura Asset Management technology team has an opportunity for you to bring your passion and make an immediate impact delivering technology and transformative solutions for our global asset management business.

We’re going through significant and exciting change, and this is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment to drive Transformation and change in Nomura Asset Management.  You will work within an agile team including Product owners, Architects, Data Managers, Technical Leads, Software Engineers, and Business Analysts with a key focus to drive innovation and continuously deliver business outcomes.

As part of the Delivery team, your key responsibilities will span:

Project Planning, Delivery Management & Team Events

  • Organize comprehensive plans within the Atlassian tooling and proactively drive delivery to achieve objectives
  • Apply strong business and technical knowledge to drive decision-making and guide project execution
  • Monitor progress to ensure the team meets its quarterly delivery commitments
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, including Leadership across technology, program management, and business, ensuring visibility of project status
  • Confirm that epic and story outcomes align with the projects defined success criteria
  • Track and collaborate on Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) to mitigate potential delivery challenges
  • Support the management of team dependencies by facilitating scrum of scrums and other collaborative events

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • 5+ years of experience within Project Manager, Delivery Manager, SCRUM Master, or equivalent roles
  • Leveraging Agile frameworks across SCRUM and Kanban to suit team requirements
  • Experience leading daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other team events
  • Experience working with DevOps teams and using Jira & Confluence to keep your team efficient & organized
  • Experience producing team metrics including velocity, capacity management, burn down, bottleneck identification, story point forecasting
  • Understanding of Engineer tooling, development environments, and ways of working
  • Ability to learn a business area quickly and understand their overall technology portfolio
  • Preferred qualifications & skillsets: Financial services understanding including securities and mutual funds

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
