Role Description: The Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in shaping our advanced analytics and AI practices

on a global scale. You will champion the adoption of a data-driven culture across the organization.

In this role, you will lead efforts to apply cutting-edge statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI

techniques to solve real-world problems, including the development of advanced LLMs (Large

Language Models). Your work will unlock transformative applications of AI that drive innovation and

have a meaningful impact on society and our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Analytics and Innovation
  • Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models and AI solutions with a profound impact on our products, services, and end users.
  • Lead the exploration of innovative applications of AI in Public Markets, Private Credit, Fixed Income, and other financial solutions.
  • Oversee the improvement of LLM output chains across a range of use cases.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with engineers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions.
  • Provide strategic input for long-term data initiatives, including data governance and compliance.

Operational Excellence

  • Plan and implement MLOps frameworks, including benchmark monitoring for quality assurance and compliance.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business impact.

Mentorship and Development

  • Actively mentor junior Data Scientists, fostering their growth and development within the organization.

Leadership and Strategy

  • Mentor and Collaborate with a of Data Scientists, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Help contribute and drive the strategic direction of data science initiatives, aligning them with business goals and priorities.
  • Champion the adoption of a data-driven culture across the organization, promoting data literacy and ethical AI practices.

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualification, Doctorate or Master’s in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field AND 4+ years industry working experience.

  • Demonstrated history of data science experience and the ability to concisely share examples of successful past projects.
  • Advanced SQL and 2+ years’ programming experience in Python and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
  • Proven track record of implementing data science and AI solutions with measurable ROI.
  • Previous experience in Public Markets and Private Credit is highly desirable.
  • Ability to clearly articulate the strategic importance of ML and AI to senior leadership and the board, driving organizational alignment and support.
  • Excellent communicator with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to tailor messaging to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Empathetic, collaborative, and open to feedback, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Ability to read and stay abreast of LLM-related research and advancements in the field.
  • Able to thrive in an agile environment, adapting to changing priorities and challenges.
  • A Masters/Doctorate in a relevant discipline is a plus.
  • You will have effective interpersonal skills, good data analysis skills, the ability to develop relationships across various business stakeholders, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to proactively identity and analyse problems and then timely deliver viable solutions.

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
