Role Description:
The HRBP is a key advisor to the local management and employees, providing proactive guidance, coaching and direction on all people issues and efficient HR service delivery in partnership with HR Specialist teams across a comprehensive range of HR disciplines and transformational projects. Relationship management is at the centre of this role and is crucial to its success.
Key objectives critical to success:
• Responsible for all Human Resource activities for Global Markets in France ;
• Be the main point of contact and act as a business partner to management by providing guidance and direction on all Human Resources matters ;
• Coordinate, execute and supervise payroll and employees administration ;
• Work closely within broader Nomura/EMEA/Global teams ;
• Establish effective, fully integrated relationships with Global HRBPs and HR specialists in London to ensure that HR strategies are implemented in your scope in compliance with local legal/market conditions ;
• Escalate topics to the Head of Continental HR when needed ;
• Partner with managers, employees and HR to proactively implement business solutions, utilizing HR expertise and perspective;
• Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries;
• Provide day-to-day employee relations
Work with our specialist function to support or manage the following processes for your client groups, including but not limited to;
• Diversity, Inclusion and Wellness – work with the client group and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team to continue to improve and build on the inclusive environment at Nomura
• Employee Relations - Provide managers with advice and manage a range of Employee Relations
• Compensation, Benefits and MIS - Support the year-end compensation process ensuring meritocratic, consistent and fair decisions are made in line with regulatory guidelines and frameworks. Management of a variety of data sources to ensure accurate reporting.
• Change Management - Guide business managers through change management initiatives including restructuring. This will include a number of international/global team projects.
• Recruitment & Resourcing - manage the hiring plan and advise on contract negotiations and the closing of candidates. Facilitate internal moves with the Expat and Relocation team. This will be alongside our Recruitment and Mobility partners.
• Learning & Performance – support the performance management cycle and promotion process, contribute to the development of Wholesale Talent Management offering in collaboration with specialist colleagues.
• Provide support for audit and reporting request
• Work with the wider organisation to support additional areas of focus (e.g. Front Office Risk, Compliance, Corporate Communications)
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
• Proven ability and desire to build strong relationships as a trusted advisor to a demanding client group
• Experienced HR professional who can operate confidently with senior level clients in a challenging, fast paced environment
• Experience within the professional or financial services sector, specifically with front office clients
• Strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage end-to-end processes
• Commercial awareness and ability to evaluate people risk
• Practical experience managing employee relations issues and complex compensation structures desirable
• Providing support and advice on all HR disciplines (Recruitment, Reward, Employee Relations, Learning and Performance)
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and relationships
• Knowledge of current French employment legislation
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong PC skills; Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and data management skills
