Role description:

Commensurate with experience, a Middle Office Operations Role supporting Warehouse Lending and/or Whole Loan Trading as an Associate. Open roles to support CRE (Commercial Real Estate) mortgage warehouse financing as well as residential mortgage whole loan trade support.  Product exposure to include RTL, NQM, MSR, NPL/RPL, SBC, SFR.

Warehouse Lending responsibilities to include daily trade flow management, booking and cash/wire movements. Monthly remittance reconciliation, cash settlement and ledger posting, daily break management.

Whole Loan responsibilities to include daily trade flow management, cash/wire movements, break management.  Monthly remittance reconciliation, ledger postings, desk interactions for loan repurchases, loan sale coordination.

 

 

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

Warehouse Lending

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Mortgage Lending business – Warehouse facilities
  • Familiarity with governing legal docs for Secured Lending facilities
  • CRE specific exposure is a plus, as this hire is a team add for the CRE product
  • System experience – Pro Merit, Loan IQ, Alteryx
  • Reconciliation skills, ability to multi-task and perform at a high level of efficiency with tight deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication to facilitate interaction with trading, banking, legal and risk colleagues.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
  • Expectation of 10-12 hour working days

 

Whole Loans

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Whole Loan Mortgage Trading business
  • Familiarity with client specific as well as trade specific documentation
  • Exposure to various mortgage products including RTL, SBC, NQM, NPL/RPL
  • System experience – Centricity, Alteryx
  • Experience interacting with Mortgage Servicers
  • Candidate must be detail oriented and thorough specifically as it relates to ensuring all payments due on inventory are received monthly.
  • Strong reconciliation skills vital to the monthly remittance process.
  • Good written and verbal communication skill to ensure efficient flow of information to front office and to facilitate effective interactions with various servicers, client, legal and risk teams.
  • Expectation of 10-12 hour working days
