Role Description:

Role Summary: Lead the development and delivery of agile trading technology solutions for Prime and Equities desks. Responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while managing a small development team and maintaining direct stakeholder relationships with trading desks.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 2-3 developers in delivering trading tools and enhancements using Python, React, SQL, and CI/CD frameworks
  • Partner directly with trading desks to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions in an agile manner
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across the US region
  • Collaborate with global trading tools teams in Japan, AEJ, and EMEA regions
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with trading desk operational requirements
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical business users
  • Work core trading hours (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST) with flexibility for market events and global coordination

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • 5+ years experience in financial services technology, preferably in trading or prime services
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • CI/CD practices and React development a plus
  • Proven team leadership and mentoring experience
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work directly with business stakeholders
  • Experience in agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of trading workflows and financial markets

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
