Role Description

 

A triparty transaction is a repo or funding transaction with a third party or clearing bank (BONY in our case) in the middle of the transaction. The triparty team supports the Rates/Repo Front Office and participate in the due diligence and execution of available BNY offerings aimed at enhancing the firm’s ability to manage liquidity on a daily basis. Candidate would be exposed to the inner workings of floor funding mechanisms, day-to-day operations in the FED space, and be provided with exposure to the Trading desk and Treasury teams we support.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Allocation of collateral and maintenance of Tri-Party Repos which reach upwards of $100B/day notional.
  • Manage firm liquidity and funding by maximizing collateral allocations to ensure there are minimal unfinanced collateral costs.
  • Strong support for trading and sales desks, allowing the implementation of complex collateral allocations and new client business.
  • Work with settlements to ensure deliveries are made on a timely manner and do not hinder firm liquidity.
  • Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders on a daily basis and assist in any setbacks with trade discrepancies.

 

 

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required

 

  • Outstanding academic qualifications: BA required.
  • Motivated self-starter capable of excelling in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work towards tight deadlines
  • Proactive and detail orientated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and ability to quickly learn internal and common industry applications.
  • Interest in Financial Markets
  • Series 99 or willingness to sit for required exam.
