Role Description:

  • Work with portfolio managers and credit analysts to implement investment decisions efficiently.
  • Negotiate and execute the purchases and sales of high yield bonds, leveraged loans, and other credit instruments via Bloomberg messenger, phone, or electronic platforms (Marketaxess, TradeWeb, Bloomberg ALLQ)
  • Build and maintain relationships with the sell-side counterparties, including sales, trading, and research.
  • Provide real-time market color, flow updates, and price moves to the portfolio managers.
  • Develop a deep understanding each account’s unique investment guidelines and apply that knowledge during the trade execution and allocation process. 

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests from different groups (Investment, Compliance, Client Service, Operations) simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-moving environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg AIM and electronic trading platforms is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of credit fundamentals.

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards and eligibility for commissions for applicable sales roles in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
