The Equity Derivatives Sales department is a key division within the investment bank that specializes in offering sophisticated financial solutions related to equity derivatives to institutional and corporate clients. Our team of highly skilled professionals is responsible for marketing, selling, and providing strategic advisory on derivative products such as options, futures, swaps, and structured products linked to equities.
The department works closely with various clients including hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, and corporates, helping them manage risk, enhance returns, and achieve specific investment goals. We provide customized solutions that allow clients to hedge exposure, take advantage of market opportunities, or manage their portfolios more efficiently.
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Equity Derivative Structured Notes Salesperson with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team at [Investment Bank]. As part of our equity derivatives sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by offering structured note products to institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and private banks. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and a passion for financial markets, particularly equity derivatives.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with senior salespeople to support and develop relationships with institutional clients, promoting equity derivative structured note products
- Provide clients with customized solutions and market insights, understanding their needs and risk profiles
- Execute sales strategies to increase structured notes transactions, meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Assist in structuring and pricing derivative products, coordinating with trading and structuring teams
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and investment opportunities in equity derivatives and structured products
- Prepare sales presentations, pitch materials, and performance reports for clients
- Collaborate with internal teams such as trading, risk management, legal, and compliance to ensure smooth transaction execution and adherence to regulatory guidelines
Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in equity derivatives sales, structured products, or a related field
- Strong understanding of equity markets and derivative instruments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and present complex ideas clearly
- Analytical mindset with strong quantitative skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with financial software like Bloomberg
- Experience working with institutional clients
- Knowledge of risk management and regulatory frameworks affecting structured notes
- Ability to adapt to market changes and client needs quickly
