Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of 3–5 concurrent IT projects/workstreams — requirements through build, test, deployment, BAU handoff
  • Drive sprint/release planning with engineering leads — backlog grooming, velocity, blocker resolution
  • Own project plans, RAID logs, milestone trackers; get ahead of cross-team dependencies
  • Partner with engineering/QA on SDLC rigor — code review gates, test coverage, release management
  • Translate regulatory requirements (FRTB, BCBS 239, SA-CCR, or equivalent) into delivery plans and track execution
  • Manage project budget/run-rate, resourcing, vendor SOW execution
  • Drive hands-on AI tooling adoption (Claude, Copilot, Jira automation) to automate SDLC tasks — requirements, test cases, code-review support, release notes, minutes, status reporting; build reusable skills for the team

Business & Change Stakeholder Management, Reporting

  • Primary contact for business/Risk Management stakeholders — manage expectations, elicit requirements, validate scope changes
  • Own project status reporting, dashboards, steering committee packs
  • Manage change requests and impact assessments through to sign-off
  • Coordinate UAT planning, business readiness, go-live comms with the Change Organization
  • Feed status/risk into programme-level governance as directed (support, not own)

Required Qualifications:

What You Bring

  • 10–15 years IT project delivery in financial services; hands-on Market Risk/Credit Risk/Trading Tech experience
  • Track record delivering regulatory IT projects (FRTB, BCBS 239, SA-CCR, or equivalent) to production
  • Comfortable working directly with engineering/QA on SDLC mechanics
  • Advanced hands-on Jira/Confluence (workflows, dashboards, reporting)
  • Clear stakeholder communication — status packs, risk escalation, options framing
  • Working quant fluency (VaR, CVA, P&L explain); structured RAID/dependency management
  • Working knowledge of budget tracking

AI Proficiency

  • Power user of AI tools; builds/shares reusable AI workflows for project artefacts (minutes, RAIDs, test cases, reporting)
  • Aware of data governance/regulatory constraints for AI use in a regulated environment

What Good Looks Like

Delivers, not just tracks

Unblocks issues personally rather than escalating everything

SDLC-fluent

Credible with engineering/QA on test coverage, release readiness

AI-native in delivery

Uses AI daily to automate SDLC/reporting; shares patterns others adopt
