Securitized Products is pivotal in driving origination, structuring, and execution of securitization transactions, working closely with clients, trading desks, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored structured finance solutions.

 

 

Role Description

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for a Securitized Products Origination & Structuring role, focusing on Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS), Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), and various mortgage loan types including Agency, Jumbo, Non-QM, and GNMA Early Buyout (EBO) loans.

 

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mortgage finance, securitization frameworks, and a track record of working on complex structured products in the mortgage and asset-backed space.

 

 

Job Duties

 

  • Lead the origination and structuring of securitization transactions in the RMBS, ABS, and Non-Agency mortgage space, with a strong emphasis on Agency, Jumbo, Non-QM, and GNMA EBO loans

  • Manage the end-to-end securitization process, including loan pooling, deal structuring, cash flow modeling, and legal documentation review

  • Collaborate with the trading desk and sales teams to ensure optimal transaction execution, market pricing, and investor engagement

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including mortgage originators, servicers, hedge funds, private equity, and institutional investors

  • Provide structured solutions tailored to client needs, assisting in the identification of opportunities for securitization across various asset classes

  • Work with clients to address unique credit and collateral characteristics, and ensure accurate and efficient structuring of deals

  • Work closely with internal teams, including legal, compliance, credit, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction flow and adherence to regulatory requirements

  • Coordinate with external parties such as rating agencies, trustees, and legal counsel to facilitate transaction execution

  • Ensure proper risk mitigation techniques are applied during the structuring process, including stress-testing collateral pools and monitoring credit enhancements.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Volcker Rule, risk retention) and ensure transactions comply with industry standards and best practices.

  • Stay up to date on market trends, regulatory changes, and new securitization opportunities within the RMBS, ABS, and non-QM space

  • Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and securitization trends to senior leadership and contribute to strategic decision-making processes

  • Identify emerging opportunities in specialized products such as GNMA EBO loans and non-QM sectors

  • Manage and oversee the transaction timeline, ensuring timely delivery of all documentation, analytics, and due diligence requirements

  • Lead internal and external meetings, including presentations to clients, investors, and senior management, articulating deal specifics, structures, and risk profiles

  • Negotiate deal terms and conditions with stakeholders and ensure successful closing of transactions

 

 

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline is preferred.

  • 7-10 years of experience in securitization, structured finance, or capital markets, specifically within RMBS, ABS, Agency, Jumbo, Non-QM, or GNMA EBO loans.

  • Proven track record of leading and executing securitization transactions.

  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, securitization mechanics, and structured finance principles.

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and cash flow analysis, with a strong focus on mortgage collateral.

  • Experience working with key stakeholders such as rating agencies, investors, and legal counsel.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of securitization regulations (e.g., SEC, Dodd-Frank, and risk retention rules) and mortgage-related legislation.

  • Advanced skills in Excel and securitization software (Intex, Bloomberg). Experience with credit modeling, rating agency models, and bond structuring tools.

  • Experience in GNMA EBO loans and Non-QM market.

  • Deep relationships with institutional clients, mortgage originators, and other key participants in the securitization markets.

  • CFA, CAIA, or other relevant certifications.
