Department Overview:

P&S Operations Department

 

 

Role Description / Areas of responsibility:

  • Processing and validating all equity trading activity at the firm
  • Ensure accurate booking of trades in internal systems
  • Reconcile trade discrepancies between internal records, counterparties and clearing firms
  • Monitor trade settlement cycles and resolve settlement breaks
  • Coordinate with front office and other operations teams to correct trade issues
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls

 

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • 1+ years of experience in Financial Services either full time or internship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field
  • Series 99 Operations professional desired
  • Strong due diligence to ensure accuracy of work
  • Problem solving capabilities with the ability to think and act quickly
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Strong initiative to resolve issues, ask questions and identify what needs to be done
  • Capable of researching exception items and developing paths for corrective action
