You will be a valued member of the team providing production services support to the Finance division using your technical and business knowledge in this challenging and fast moving space.
Role / Principal Accountabilities:
This is a Production Services role to provide support to Compliance, Core and Corporate suite of applications used for organization critical functions like Compliance, Surveillance, Legal, Audit, Reporting, Documentation Workflow Management, Human Resources (HR) and Real Estate.
The ideal candidate will have a forward thinking, can-do attitude with the ability to proactively deal with issues and a drive for continual improvement. Posessing the willingness to upskill and learn new technologies is a must.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Production Support role
- Working knowledge of Corporate platforms within a Financial Institution
- Naturally take ownership of issues and projects that you are assigned. Confident with adhering to procedure and show resilience when faced with demanding clients
- The ability to prioritise and be adaptable whilst working under pressure
- Have a problem solving mind set and demonstrate ownership of problem and incidents through to closure
- Be able to diagnose and effectively communicate/escalate incidents and problems to senior management with confidence
- Have a conscientious attitude to all areas of IT Governance: Audit, Operational Risk etc. Ability to accurately collect and publish support KPI metrics as well as management documentation maintenance for the team
- Willingness to provide weekend support on rota basis
- Confident in managing and implementing code/config change/release into prod environments
- Be able to build strong, collaborative relationships with the business, application development teams, Infrastructure and other functional groups globally. .
- Be an excellent communicator and listener
- Operating systems knowledge (Windows, Unix, Linux)
- Understanding and handson experience in scripting (e.g. Shell Scripting, Python, Perl)
- Good working knowledge of databases and writing SQL queries
- Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or similar)
- Experience in supporting and administering DevOps.
Desirable:
- Experience working in Follow the Sun support model
- Knowledge and experience in IT automation
- Knowledge and understanding of the Site Reliablility Engineering principles
- Understanding of Agile practices and principles
- AWS Practitioner Certification or similar
- Autosys setup and configuration
- Full understanding of ITIL
