Department Overview

 

The Equity Derivatives Production Services team is responsible for providing all levels of support for Equity Derivatives business, including Sales, Trading, Risk Management and Middle Office. The team is responsible for support of a complex suite of real-time front-office applications utilized by Equities business. The team owns and maintains a list of in-house applications which provide position keeping, trade capture, real-time risk management, P&L attribution and scenario stress calculation. The team is located on the trading floor, with direct access to Front Office which enables the team to gather real-time user feedback and requirements. Additionally, the team works with developers in New York, London, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Tokyo to enhance and build out the platform.

 

 

Role Requirements

 

  • Provide all levels of application support for Front Office Equity Derivatives platforms

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose Trading and Risk applications in real-time

  • Collaborate with development teams on requirement gathering and systems development

  • Support End-Of-Day processes for a complex Risk system, while collaborating with Production Support teams in other regions

  • Take ownership of problems and follow-up to completion, while maintaining a high standard of communication with the stakeholders

  • Utilize ServiceNow to record and track incidents, conduct releases, and perform Problem Management

  • Track issues and prioritize workload

  • Manage releases and deployment and perform DR/BCP management

  • Manage user queries and service requests, often requiring an in-depth analysis of the technical and/or business logic of our systems

  • Automate tasks to reduce toil

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years experience in trade floor or related support experience with Front Office trading systems

  • Experience in supporting Equity Derivatives (and associated life cycle). An experience supporting other Derivatives products could be considered

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is preferred

  • A good understanding of risk management systems

  • Strong technical and analytical skills (SQL knowledge and some scripting experience)

  • Proficient user knowledge of UNIX and Windows

  • Good problem solving skills while working under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work towards tight deadlines

  • Ability to work in a fast paced trading environment

 

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of Derivatives product pricing and risk analysis

  • Hands-on experiences with Autosys or other scheduling platforms

  • Knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change management process

  • Middleware knowledge, such as TIBCO RV, is a plus

  • Development skills (C#, kdb, Python)

  • A good understanding ITIL practices
