Department Overview:

  • Legal team of regulatory and transactional attorneys supporting all Global Markets businesses, including Equities, Rates, Credit, FX, Securitized Products and various Solutions businesses

Role description:

  • Work closely with the Business with respect to the structuring, sale, negotiation, documentation and execution of a wide range of products, with a primary focus on mortgage structured finance and lending businesses (including repurchase transactions, securitizations and whole loan trading) within the Global Markets division
  • Advise and assist in the creation, structuring, regulatory analysis and launch of new products and businesses within structured finance
  • Interpret, educate and assist with the implementation of regulatory changes that impact structured finance businesses
  • Advise the Business, Risk, Operations, Compliance and others internally regarding legal and regulatory issues, developments and risks relating to structured finance products and businesses
  • Assist with ongoing advocacy efforts relating to regulatory changes impacting structured finance businesses

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Strong structured finance experience (e.g. asset-backed lending, secured or unsecured credit facilities, repurchase transactions, securitizations, trade finance, insurance solutions, project finance, direct lending transactions)
  • Familiarity with corporate, securities, creditor, finance and bankruptcy laws and related issues
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -- ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
  • Ability to work independently and respond proactively to business needs
  • Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative work environment

 

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
