Overview:

The role is for an operations working in Messaging and Collaboration Operations. Reporting to the Messaging and Collaboration Regional Head, the main responsibilities are:

  • Support of all Messaging production platforms both regionally & globally, primarily M365 Exchange Online and Exchange 2016/2019.
  • Liaising with the regional teams to drive the project forward and ensure the operational deliverables are met within the published timescales.

Job Overview:

  • The operations function is responsible for implementing, supporting and upgrading all Messaging infrastructure components. The focus of this role will be
    • Supporting the day to day administrating of a large enterprise environment of Exchange 2016/2019/Exchange Online/Exchange Hybrid
    • Performing end user suport which includes operating, managing, provisioning and troubleshooting enterprise email, e-communication & collaboration platforms, which could include on-call / out-of-hours support
    • Migrating user mailboxes from one region to another, which also could include migrating mailboxes from on premise mailboxes to cloud based mailboxes
    • Automation of processes
    • Full documentation of processes
  • The candidate must be a highly self motivated team player with good oral and written skills.
  • The candidate should also have a good sense of discipline and time-management and work diligently.
  • A flexible work ethic is required with the ability to form part of a multi-platform global support team.

3 Key Objectives critical to success of the role:

  • Relevant industry experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in deploying / supporting multi-geo platforms and a solid understanding of change, incident management and compliance / regulatory reporting processes
  • Ability to work unsupervised on a time-critical project in a hybrid work environment

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Subject-matter expert knowledge on
    • Exchange Online
    • Exchange 2016/2019
    • Powershell and other scripting / automation technologies
  • Experience of Exchange 2016/2019 to Exchange Online migrations
  • Experience includes operating, managing, provisioning and troubleshooting enterprise email, e-communication & collaboration platforms
  • Experience in managing Exchange roles, user & mailbox permissions, e-mail queues, DMARC management, dynamic distribution lists
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Teams, Veritas Enterprise Vault, Discovery Accelerator, Merge1, Behavox, WebEx Teams
  • Knowledge in Electronic communications captures and retrievals
  • Advanced Working knowledge of troubleshooting mailflow
  • Handing of 2nd & 3rd level operational escalations
  • Strong oral and written communication to write runbooks and other documentation as well as organizational skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a global team
  • A good awareness of audit, compliance, change control processes and procedures. Candidates will have spent a part of their career working in a mature organization with a well-developed audit control framework. (does not necessarily need to have been in the financial sector)
