MBS Middle Office department.
Role Description / Areas of responsibility:
- Support MBS trading desk by managing the full lifecycle of trades encompassing non-agency MBS, CLO, TRS and interest rate products.
- Person will need to partner closely with Sales, Trading, Product Control, Settlements and other desks to resolve trade discrepancies in a timely fashion.
- Calculate and provide daily P&L and risk to business partners as well as senior management.
- Use of BBG lookups for factor and static data discrepancies a plus.
- Willingness to go the extra mile.
- Understanding of FINRA TRACE reporting and TMPG marginging for MBS products as it relates to securitized products a plus.
- Analyze and resolve DK’s and fails to minimize risk to firm.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
- 1+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar
- Good attention to detail
- Series 99 or willingness to obtain
- Strong Excel Skills
- Light VBA a plus
