Position Overview
The team are looking for a senior developer to work on a global development project within the Prime Finance IT division of Nomura. The successful candidate will join a team based in New York to develop and integrate a new global Prime Finance global platform built utilizing service-oriented architecture as part of a broad strategic reengineering program.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Equity Finance Front Office Applications
Deliver solution from inception to analysis, design, implementation and delivery
Work closely with the Equity Finance FO and MO desks to understand the functions and ensure delivery meets the expectations.
Partner with traders, Front and Middle office users’ system support and BAU Enhancements
Work with the Global team to partner in delivery of the solutions
Required Skills & Experience
- Java, Micro services, Python and SQL
- Middleware Tibco
Minimum 5+ years of software development experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions
- Experience working in an agile development environment
- Background in financial services/investment banking preferred
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in mentoring junior developers
