Department Overview
Working in a busy Corporate Communications department, you’ll play a key role in the Internal Communications Americas team, providing support to the Head of Internal Communications Americas and delivering on day-to-day execution of our internal communication strategy and plan. You’ll be creative and use good judgment, with exceptional copywriting and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to make internal communications sound less corporate and more engaging.
Responsibilities:
- Providing overall support to the Head of Internal Communications for the Americas, delivering on our internal communications strategy and associated calendar of activities. Activities may include drafting messaging, event management and logistics, distribution lists and mailboxes, updating the intranet, and managing internal communication tools.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the business and the Communications team to ensure communications are effective and joined up.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders across the region and developing/reviewing communications around topics including inclusion, compliance, HR, culture, regional events, business updates, etc. to ensure messaging is consistent and stakeholders feels supported.
- Managing and updating internal communication channels and tracking their effectiveness (e.g., email, events, intranet, campaigns, etc).
Skills:
This is a great role for a junior level person, with experience working in financial services, looking to take the next step up. You will need to demonstrate that you have experience navigating and achieving success in complex matrixed organizations.
You'll demonstrate:
- Superb copywriting skills with the ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner
- Comprehensive understanding of the communications mix, together with an understanding of internal communications best practice
- Very strong communications planning skills – the role involves a strong focus on writing/editing, as well as providing air traffic control across a wide variety of stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of internal communications channels and measurement

- Ability to work within team-oriented global culture, handling sensitive information under pressure
- Ability to be flexible and multi-task on a daily basis, managing ongoing projects as well as ad-hoc issues that demand immediate attention - strong organizational skills are a must
