Job Purpose

NCM is seeking a sales support professional in its Institutional Distribution team in New York City. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment in NCM’s North American institutional asset management business. NCM works closely with its affiliates, $33 billion NYC-based credit boutique Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management (NCRAM), and Nomura Asset Management, a $600 billion global asset management firm.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the distribution team in scheduling meetings, preparing collateral for meeting, and follow-up materials after the meetings.
  • Assist the Institutional Distribution team in sales campaigns by conducting research on asset owners and consultants, investors trends, fees, etc.
  • Maintain marketing collateral for various strategies.
  • Work closely with Institutional Distribution team-members in order to articulate and differentiate NCM’s capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Assist in identifying new areas for business development.
  • Assist in RFP process by coordinating with RFP team, portfolio managers, product specialists, operations, legal and other individuals to insure its completion.
  • Actively maintain and update the firm’s CRM with meeting notes, prospect communication and follow-up and prospect pipelines

 

Qualification & Core Skills requirement

  • 3+ years of experience working with Institutional Distribution team in a Sales Support capacity.
  • Experience understanding the sales cycle of asset management strategies.
  • Experience speaking with consultants and investors.
  • Teamwork and collaborate across different areas of the firm, be self-motivated, innovative and solution minded, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external counterparties.
  • Strong research capabilities to assist the Institutional Distribution team in finding contacts, reviewing industry publication for new searches/investment mandates.
  • Series 7 and Series 63 licenses preferred, or completion within first 6 months of employment.
