Role Description

The Compliance IT BA/PM role will report to the Compliance Technology Projects Portfolio Manager and could work with people across Asia, EMEA and the Americas to deliver technology solutions to support key functions for the Compliance department. This is considered a key hire to ensure that we clearly articulate and manage the user requirements from initiation through to execution. 

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Lead workshops and process design sessions with the Compliance users to define user requirements.   
  • Partner with the development and quality assurance (QA) teams to create detailed, accurate and well-structured functional specifications.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of functional and technical architectures.
  • Partner with QA resource to development of Test Strategy, Test Plan and Test Scripts.
  • Report Project status for senior management, including risks and issues and path to green where appropriate.

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Experience in dealing with stakeholders and presenting projects at management level.
  • Experience of the software development lifecycle.
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Good database knowledge – ability to understand database schemas and write SQL queries.
  • Should be able to deliver analysis using the following programs:
    • JIRA
    • Confluence
    • Microsoft software products: Visio, Excel, PowerPoint
    • SQL
  • The candidate should have a positive outlook and be a self-starter. The ability to communicate well within the team, as well as across the division is essential.
  • Experience in Agile delivery (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Capital Markets experience: understanding of Equities and Fixed Income Products.
  • Experience of Compliance functions – Control Room, Personal Account Dealing, Regulatory Compliance functions like Blue Sheet and LOPR, Electronic Communication and Central Compliance functions like Registration and Training.
