Department Overview
The payroll department is responsible for managing all payroll production, in addition to supporting the quarterly and annual processing for year-end reporting and information returns. The Payroll Associate will handle high volume transactions related to the entire payroll process. Candidates must be proficient with all aspects of payroll practices including data processing, gross-to-net calculations, payroll tax compliance and technology. This position will be responsible for processing bi-weekly and monthly payrolls for over 3,000 employees in a multi-state, multi-entity environment and reports to the Americas Head of Payroll.
Role Description & Responsibilities
- Assist in the payroll production of regular bi-weekly pay cycles for multiple entities and monthly expatriate payrolls.
- Prepare, process, and reconcile import files for data including deferred awards and special payouts
- Create and prepare ad hoc reporting for internal business partners.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual processing for year-end reporting and information returns
- Interface with payroll vendor for payroll and tax and payment service request
- Prepare and coordinate responses for internal and external audits
- Maintain data integrity for payroll system and collaborate with HR on data reconciliation reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners.

- Proficient with all aspects of payroll year-end close (i.e. quarterly amendments, taxable fringe benefits and form W-2 reporting)
- Solid understanding and navigation of payroll taxability and state tax compliance
- Ability to operate in a highly confidential setting
- Experience processing payroll tax forms and filings with federal, state, local withholding and unemployment.
- Ability to work with the payroll team and management to collect, normalize and analyze data for financial & payroll reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong knowledge in payroll taxes including Federal, multi-State, and local payroll jurisdictions, pay calculations, multi-state wage and hour regulations, and full knowledge of payroll benefits, including 401k
- Strong knowledge of, and experience with Ultimate Software payroll platform (UltiPro) required, familiarity of UTM a plus
- Comfortable in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling biweekly and monthly payroll processing in a multi-state, multi-entity environment.
- 4 year degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
- CPP certification a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to use query and report generation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Global payroll experience
- Business Intelligence (BI) report writing
- Experience with ServiceNow and SuccessFactors or relatable systems
- Automated Payroll system and MS Office experience as well as knowledge of computer network systems.
- Finance/Accounting knowledge or experience
