Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee benefit programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and voluntary benefits
- Process benefit enrollments, terminations, and changes while maintaining accurate records
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and provide guidance on plan options
- Conduct benefits bi-weekly orientation sessions for new employees
- Prepare and analyze benefits-related reports and metrics
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.)
- Support annual benefits renewal process and open enrollment periods
- Assist in developing communication materials about benefit programs
- Assist with annual retirement audit and 5500 filing
- Support monthly invoice processing
- Support leave of absence as needed
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- 1-3 years of experience in benefits administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms
- Understanding of federal and state benefits regulations
- Excellent communication both verbal and written
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail and customer service skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- MS Office particularly strong in Excel
*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
