About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to spearhead the Global Position Record (GPR) component of our Global Equities Analytics Project. This strategic initiative aims to fundamentally reimagine and develop a comprehensive platform that will support the growth ambitions of our Global Equities business. The GPR will serve as a single source of truth for all Trades and Positions in Global Equities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own all aspects of design, development, and quality control/testing of the Global Position Record (GPR)
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Global Equities/Prime business operations
- Apply detailed knowledge of Stock Record functionality, including balancing Sources and Uses, linking Sources to Uses, and implementing controls to identify and resolve issues
- Guide technology teams in identifying appropriate upstream data sources and understanding business rules/logic embedded in the data
- Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Data Quality Control standards (DQC)
- Lead the data team for ongoing data management needs post-development
Requirements
- Extensive experience with large data projects, with strong preference for candidates with deep experience in Stock Record related projects
- Detailed knowledge of Nomura Infrastructure globally (Front Office, Middle Office, and Finance)
- Ability to clearly define, agree upon, and communicate requirements to diverse stakeholders
- Detail-oriented approach with strong Excel and Tableau skills
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel to other regions to gather regional specific requirements and train the local teams (London/Tokyo/Hong Kong)

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with business acumen to deliver a robust Global Position Record that serves as the foundation for our analytics platform. You will work cross-functionally with technology and business teams to ensure the GPR meets all requirements and supports the strategic growth of our Global Equities business.
Location
This role will be based in New Work and would require travel to key Nomura locations including London, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
