Department Overview
The Early Careers Team sits within the HR department and is split across four segments: Investment Banking, Global Markets, Corporate Functions, and Information Technology.
Role Description
- Reports to the Americas Head of Early Careers
- Serve as the Nomura relationship manager with key contacts at universities (i.e. career services, deans, faculty, student groups.)
- Drive the Early Careers recruitment efforts for the Front Office businesses – thinking creatively, strategically, commercially and competitively.
- Contribute to the Early Careers Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy for the business.
- Own and drive complete strategic and marketing initiatives on campus (e.g. emails, advertisements, flyers, etc.)
- Organize and attend Early Careers events (e.g. career fairs, workshops, conferences, presentations etc.)
- End-to-end support and execution of the Summer Internship Program, planning the rotations in consultation with the business, organizing performance management discussions, and driving the direct-to-desk placement process.
- Keep abreast on trends in recruitment, market intelligence, and competitor benchmarking.
- Build relationships with business stakeholders and HR counterparts, and develop a regional strategy for the business.
- Monitor and drive the sell process as offers are extended.
- Support planning and execution of interviews; track and manage candidates from application/ resume screening through scheduling interviews; manage and track feedback.
- Compile metrics, request and track offers, and manage onboarding logistics

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required
- University graduate
- Prior Campus Recruitment experience, preferably at a financial institution
- Partnering with clients and colleagues: solid oral and written communication and relationship management skills; client-facing and credible; strong negotiation skills; ability to develop internal and external relationships; ability to manage diverse stakeholders and to build networks quickly.
- Results-orientated: ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered to clients
- Strong Project Management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and project plan on an annual basis.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Forward thinking; ability to foresee the impact of emerging trends/patterns – strong competency of Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Positive attitude, flexible mindset, and a strong team player, who is willing to roll up their sleeves.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven and fast paced environment
- Open to potential travel
