Role Description

 

  • Support the EM FX G10 Forwards and Options desk. Products that Sales and Trading execute along with the Share-Class hedging and funding solutions provided by RSG / CFS desk.
  • Work with Sales & Trading to ensure market risk and trade entry is accurate, Coordinate with global colleagues that all aspects of trade processing is completed.
  • Daily trade capture and verification of all trades including: FX Forwards, Swaps, NDFs (Non-Deliverable Forwards), FX Options, FX Exotic options, Structured Trades (like Volatility / Variance Swaps, Range accruals, etc) FX Futures, bond futures, interest rate futures, options on futures, bond options, etc.
  • Complete knowledge of lifecycle of a trade from Trade booking to Confirmations / Settlements, Novation, NPV of cash flows, Terminations, etc. Control of trade workflow including ownership of inter-system reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of matching systems like Harmony PB, Traiana, Capitolis, FXAll, FXConnect, GTSS, Misys, Markitwire, CLS, Bloomberg.
  • Dealing with queries and ad-hoc requests from front office, risk, compliance, finance and operations.
  • Responsibility for monitoring regulatory compliance; counterparty risk, CSA agreements, Mandatory Clearing, SEF/MAT / Dodd Frank, MiFid, CFTC exceptions.
  • Researching and troubleshooting problems such as: resolving trade booking issues and cash breaks P&L variances and valuation issues.
  • End of day official market production – building and maintaining FX market.
  • Coordinate with quant and technology teams recommending, testing, and implementing enhancements to our trading platforms and internal reconciliations / controls.
  • Continuous enhancements to trading systems and related control framework, managing ad-hoc projects globally.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
  • Knowledge of the FX asset class and derivative instruments, 5+ year’s middle office or related operational experience.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels, ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment, must have the ability to interface with both the front and back office personnel to resolve various trade issues that arise.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processing systems and prioritize workload under stressful situations.
  • Identifies gaps or inefficiencies in processes and takes ownership for change.
  • Motivated, diligent learner that is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must work well with others and be able to adapt to a continuously changing environment.
  • Proficient in excel and ability to quickly learn internal & industry applications, knowledge of Macros / VBA / Digital tools is helpful.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good analytical skills and positive attitude
