Department Overview:
The Equity Finance Middle Office plays a crucial support role within Nomura, bridging the gap between the Front Office and the Back Office. This team's primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and compliant processing of trades, thereby mitigating risk and facilitating efficient operations for clients and the firm.
Role description:
- Domestic Stock Loan Middle Office function, with a focus on Recall management, Buy-in’s, contract compare, excess management, Reg-Sho 204, exception management, and operational risk associated with the business.
- Ensure all firm deficits and CNS fails are proactively communicated to the desk for coverage
- Ability to work as a proactive member of a fully established Equity Finance team.
- Must have a fundamental system knowledge of Loanet and DTC. Equilend and BPS is a plus.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- Minimum of 2 years Stock Loan Trade Support experience
- Knowledge of marked-to-markets, billing, contract compare, and security static
- Knowledge of prime-broker, short coverage, excess management, settlements and the lifecycle of a trade are a plus.
- Networking and strong relationship building are paramount.
- Knowledge of DTC, and Loanet are necessary. BPS, Gloss, Equilend, and Pirum would be beneficial
- Potential associate should have, or be willing to obtain a series 99 or 7 license
