Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to act as Deputy Program Lead to support a large-scale Global General Ledger (GL) implementation involving SAP or Oracle. This individual will serve as a key partner helping coordinate the program, manage critical relationships, and ensure internal teams and external vendors remain aligned throughout the implementation.
- Partner closely with the COO to support the planning, coordination, and execution of the Global General Ledger implementation.
- Serve as a central point of coordination across internal stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and implementation partners, ensuring deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and expectations remain aligned.
- Coordinate activities across Finance, Operations, Technology, and other business functions.
- Maintain project plans, milestones, dependencies, action items, and key deliverables.
- Track project risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies and ensure appropriate escalation and follow-through.
- Prepare project updates, status reports, meeting materials, and executive-level communications.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure decisions, action items, owners, and deadlines are clearly documented.
- Support governance activities and provide the COO with visibility into project status, risks, vendor performance, and areas requiring executive attention.
- Proactively identify potential roadblocks and work across teams to drive resolution.
- Ensure internal stakeholders and external partners remain accountable to agreed-upon timelines and deliverables.
- Support implementation readiness, testing, deployment, and other project activities as needed.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- 6+ years of Project or Program Management experience supporting complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting ERP, General Ledger, Finance Transformation, or financial systems implementations strongly required.
- SAP or Oracle implementation experience required.
- Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors, consulting partners, and senior internal stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to work closely with C-suite and senior leadership.
- Experience managing project plans, risks/issues, dependencies, governance, and executive reporting.
- Financial services experience required.
- Exceptional communication, organization, relationship-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate as a hands-on project partner in a fast-moving, complex global environment.
Successful candidates will be engaged under a contract for services with a third party.
