Role Description:
Excellent opportunity for an aspiring Credit Derivatives Middle Office professional to join a dedicated and collaborative team. The team interacts with sales and trading to provide trading support for Flow and Structured Credit business, including CDS, Index, Options, structured financing transactions, FX and Interest rate products. This opportunity would suit an individual who has strong interpersonal skills, is responsive and has a commitment to serving their client group.
Role description:
- Support Flow and Structured Credit business. Products that trading and sales execute include structured financing transactions, CDS, Index, Options, FX and Interest rate products.
- Work with trading and sales to ensure market risk and trade entry is accurate
- Affirmation of T0 trades and ensuring mandatory clearing trades are cleared at IceLink
- Process ICE weekly compression clearing cycles
- Support life-cycle management of trades including expiries and final settlement
- Assist in calculating and distributing daily P&L to the Trading Desk, Product Control and Senior Management
- Monitor reconciliation breaks and investigate resolution
- Support trading desks with application of regulations and internal processing requirements
- Aid in nightly P&L flash and liaise with the finance team to resolve any T+1 variances
- Contribute to continuous enhancements to trading systems and related control framework
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- 1-3 years of experience in a trade support / middle office role within Credit Derivatives
- Understanding of Credit Derivatives products
- Familiarity in dealing with risk and explain P&L
- Strong risk management focus with appreciation of the risk impact of actions undertaken
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to prioritize workload and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and a sense of urgency
- Motivated, diligent learner able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to a continuously changing environment
- High level of proficiency with Excel
- Series 99 is preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months or joining
