Role and Responsibilities:
- Salesperson on Nomura’s Convertible Bond desk in New York.
- Engage with clients in the Americas/EMEA/Asia-ex region to facilitate business and expand Nomura’s US Convertible franchise footprint. This includes establishing regular client interaction through meetings and open dialogue with both current and new clients.
- Have a key salesperson role with a veteran sales team on a top tier US Convertible desk that was established in 2010.
- Develop trade ideas and engage existing and new client base in effort to increase Nomura’s productivity.
- Coordinate with the global team to increase communication lines and share client color.
Key Contribution Areas Critical to Success
- Associate/VP/ED Level Candidate with 2-10 years sell side experience.
- Understanding of the US convertible product or experience in the US Derivative or HY market.
- Previous experience on sell side desk in the US required.
- Passionate about financial markets and willingness to pitch ideas and create trade flow day in and day out.
- A franchise builder who is hungry and willing to be a part of a top tier team.
