Department Overview

 

NCRAM was established in 1991 and serves as an investment adviser to US, South American, EMEA, and Asian institutional clients. NCRAM is an investment boutique within the larger Nomura Group of companies that specializes in below investment-grade credit. We are primarily engaged in managing assets consisting of US and global high yield corporate bonds, emerging market debt, and multi-asset credit for a global clientele. NCRAM has a headcount of 47 and assets under management of approximately $37 billion as of July 31, 2024.

 

 

Key Objectives Crucial to Success

 

  • Assemble monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for existing clients
  • Maintain central client reporting calendar
  • Produce various marketing materials, e.g. pitch books, fact sheets, and portfolio review materials
  • Respond to ad-hoc client and prospect requests via global client service and sales teams
  • Support Client Portfolio Managers and Head of Client Relations
  • Contribute to special projects to enhance value for clients, prospects, and affiliate teams

The ideal candidate will become a key member of NCRAM’s Product Development team by developing mastery of client reporting and marketing functions and proficiency in high yield investment management.

 

 

Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required

 

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 1-2 years of client reporting and/or RFP experience, ideally with an asset management firm
  • Career interest in high yield, asset management, financial services marketing, and client relations
  • Candidate must be meticulously detail-oriented
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills and proven ability to multi-task
  • Highly results- and deadline-oriented
  • Fast and eager learner, proactive, ability to produce high quality work on tight deadlines
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact with all levels of management

 

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of fixed income asset class, institutional investment products, and vehicle structures
  • Experience in high yield fixed income a plus
  • Proficiency/familiarity with Bloomberg, Sylvan, and/or GIPS
