Role Description:

We are actively seeking a highly motivated, articulate, collaborative and team-oriented Client Portfolio Manager to be part of our Global Listed Real Assets team in New York, with a primary focus on our Global Listed Infrastructure (GLI) capabilities.  The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Portfolio Manager and head of Nomura’s GLI team and will be an active member of the team, developing a detailed understanding of the GLI investable universe as well as our portfolio holdings, views, strategies and activities.

 

This position will engage regularly with our internal constituents and, in time, external institutional clientele to enhance their understanding of our GLI offerings, effectively communicating our investment philosophy, process, insights, and investment outcomes. The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a variety of materials including presentations,  whitepapers, attribution analyses, investment commentaries, RFPs/due diligence questionnaires, market research and competitive positioning analyses.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant investment vehicle structures, performance drivers, and positioning
  • Act as liaison between internal and external clients and the investment team
  • Translate complex investment concepts and strategies for institutional clients, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders
  • Support client meetings, presentations, and ongoing relationship management activities with both internal teams and external clients
  • Ensure consistent messaging and positioning of investment strategies for both internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align client-facing communications
  • Collaborate with product development teams to assess market demand for new vehicles and support strategic planning initiatives and market expansion
  • Develop and maintain presentation materials, investment commentaries, and client communications for both internal and external use
  • Support RFP responses and due diligence questionnaires
  • Contribute to whitepapers and thought leadership content

 

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience within Client Portfolio Management or other client-facing investment roles, preferably with knowledge of Global Equity strategies
  • Ability to work with multiple teams, locations and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional skills in Morningstar Direct, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in FactSet, Bloomberg, and/or MSCI Barra is a plus
  • Ability to work with large data sets to concisely analyze and report insights/findings.
  • CFA or advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Series 7 & 63 (preferred)

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
