Role description:
The role is for a Junior Trader on the #1 Greenwich ranked Nomura CLO Trading desk, housed within the Securitized Products business. The candidate filling this role should be highly motivated to learn the product and develop a skillset for market-making. Tasks will include running bond analytics to price & trade CLO Debt & Equity, from Aaa-rated tranches down to unrated Equity. Additional tasks include monthly marks for clients, marks for CLO repo/financing, & maintaining the BWIC calendar. All of these tasks involve working closely with customers including Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies, & Banks. Candidate should have the ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and move seamlessly across activities. Strong communication skills are required to interact with both internal teams as well as external clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Academic and/or Work Experience in Finance/Engineering preferred but not required
- Proficiency in computer languages/programming (VBA primarily) is a plus
- Experience with Bloomberg and/or INTEX analytics is a plus
