Department Overview:
Securitized Products is pivotal in driving origination, structuring, and execution of securitization transactions, working closely with clients, trading desks, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored structured finance solutions.
Role Description
This role will provide support to the CLO Structuring team, within the CLO Origination business. The candidate filling this role will work with senior bankers in CLO Structuring and Warehousing. Tasks will include working closely with clients on document comments, rating agencies, attorneys (internal and/or external), market/credit risk teams, syndicate, sales and various other internal and external parties. Candidate should have the ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and move seamlessly across activities with little direction. Strong quantitative and communication skills are required to interact with both internal teams as well as external parties.
CLO Structurer Responsibilities
• Analyze credit quality and characteristics of loan pools
• Organize and maintain a CLO data bank used to produce weekly CLO market updates
• Act as liaison between loan team, operations team, and clients • Monitor risk exposures and test different key portfolio credit characteristics in order to produce weekly risk reports
• Analyze warehouse net carry and equity returns
• Perform cash flow and refinancing analysis based on different variables and assumptions
• Manage transaction closing process; setting up Bloomberg, creating Intex files, producing flow of funds as well as other pricing and closing processes
• Prepare materials for internal meetings and approvals
• Prepare marketing presentations, term sheets, and rating agency material
• ·Participate in specific projects and address internal and external queries as required
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in a structured products group
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint • Experience in CLOs & knowledge of rating agency criteria is a plus
• Familiarity with CLO legal documents is a plus
• Experience with INTEX analytics & Bloomberg is a plus
• Proficiency in computer languages/programming (VBA & Python) is a plus
