Department Overview:
Business Resilience's mission is to protect the Firm from significant business disruptions by fostering a culture of resiliency, and by providing innovative response and recovery solutions that add value to the Firm's daily operations.
The Business Resilience group works with all departments within the firm to create business continuity plans (BCPs). The plans focus on promoting employee safety, facilitating rapid response and decision-making, minimizing business disruptions, and providing a foundation for resuming interrupted operations and services as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Role Description / Areas of responsibility:
- Maintain and manage data related to business continuity plans (BCPs)
- Technical management, development, and customization of Fusion Risk Management, the group’s business continuity management system.
- Create business and technical documentation for BCP-related functions
- Assist in planning and execution of business continuity exercises
- Create and maintain reports on business continuity readiness and policy governance
- Assist in response to BCP events and incidents (e.g. tracking emergency response tasks, conducting mass notifications, working at backup site)
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
- 4+ years of experience in Business Resilience or similar function within Financial Services
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts
- Demonstrated knowledge of object-oriented and/or relational database management systems
- Experience working with Salesforce or Salesforce-based applications a plus
- Ability to work under pressure, especially following a crisis event (fire, flood, etc.)
- Strong technical writing ability
- Strong verbal communications skills
